Most of the projects I have undertaken in this field have been in the nature of the refurbishment of old houses or the conversion of farm buildings into holiday homes or gîtes for foreign clients.
IN FRANCE
Typical clients tend to be Francophiles who buy a rural property with a lot of charm and character but with very little in the way of modern comforts, and who want to transform it into a home. With little knowledge of either the French administrative procedures or of the way French builders work, and often with only a basic command of the language, they approach me to act as their adviser, their agent, and their architect.
